I find it fascinating that cabaret dancers (who, with prostitutes, became porn models) removed their pubic hair because it was considered 'indecent'; the ubiquitous classical nude in art through the ages has (almost) never had pubic hair, and is, therefore, seen as 'artistic' rather than erotic. When shaven porn started to become popular in the early 70s, I became a big fan, because, somehow, it actually seemed more erotic than the untamed bushes that we knew and loved - I only ever fucked one woman with a shaved cunt in the 60s, and I thought it was just weird. I'm rambling here, but my point is that pubic hair went from being obscene to normal and shaving went from not-obscene to erotic. There was a shift in appetite.
